Daily, genre-inspired writing prompts for authors, teachers, and journaling

Journaling + Fiction – February 24

“Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement. For even the very wise cannot see all ends.”
J.R.R. Tolkien

Journal prompt: Spend at least 20 minutes writing about the differences between a time you had to make a judgment call that turned out wrong and another time you had to make a judgment call that turned out right.

Fiction writing prompt: Write a scene in which your protagonist is offered a chance to show mercy and makes the wrong choice.
