Daily, genre-inspired writing prompts for authors, teachers, and journaling

Journaling + Fiction – March 26

“An open mind is all very well in its way, but it ought not to be so open that there is no keeping anything in or out of it.”
Alfred North Whitehead

Journal prompt: Spend at least 20 minutes writing about what you learned the last time you were open-minded about an idea to which you should have closed your mind.

Fiction writing prompt: Write a scene in which your protagonist keeps an open mind about a terrible idea for so long that the idea’s terribleness becomes obvious to everyone.
