Daily, genre-inspired writing prompts for authors, teachers, and journaling

Journaling + Fiction – September 23

“It is not the end of the physical body that should worry us. Rather, our concern must be to live while we’re alive – to release our inner selves from the spiritual death that comes with living behind a facade designed to conform to external definitions of who and what we are.”
Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

Journal prompt: Spend at least 20 minutes writing about whether you’re truly living today.

Fiction writing prompt: Write a scene in which your protagonist’s routine reveals that s/he’s not really alive.
